Chloe is a wallcovering of astonishing subject and construction alike: a forest of birch trees, their bark shifting in tone as birch bark does, woven — not printed — in the Pierre Frey workshops in the north of France, then laminated onto a wide non-woven backing. The weaving gives the forest a texture no print could counterfeit. A stand of trees for the wall, grown on a loom.
