Corne d'Abondance Broderie takes an emblematic Braquenié design, once printed, and reinterprets it in embroidery on a cotton satin with a subtle sheen. The fineness of the stitches and the softness of the thread shading give the familiar composition a precious new register. The source — an eighteenth-century palempore — is preserved in the Maison's archives; the horn of plenty, it turns out, had more to give.
