Danakil draws inspiration from the dramatic geological formations of the Danakil desert, translating those remarkable terrains into a contemporary jacquard of striking visual depth. The weave creates astonishing textural variation across the cloth, whilst the colour palette captures the raw intensity of that landscape. Woven with considerable craft in the Pierre Frey ateliers of northern France, this fabric reinterprets the traditional tapestry aesthetic with distinctly modern sensibility and distinctive character.
