Daphne is a large woolly jacquard taken from a 1940s document in the house archives, its broad laurel leaves drawn with a graphic confidence that recalls the gardens of the South of France. The wool gives it an authentic, enveloping warmth; the scale gives it presence. It is a pattern that feels both of its period and entirely at ease now, and it exists as a wallpaper too.
