Pierre Frey | Diabolo

Diabolo is a small geometric worked as a Toile de Tours, and its scale is its argument: a pattern this size dresses a chair completely without the drawing being interrupted by seams or arms. The effect is decorative but subtle — from a distance it reads as a textured plain, and only at close range does the geometry declare itself. It is intended for seating, and well suited to it.
