Donegal is the textured semi-plain at the centre of Sequana II, woven in Ireland in the village it is named after. The flecked yarn gives it the fine, speckled ‘caviar’ look of a traditional tweed, and the ten colourways run from Natural and Wood through Lichen and Sea Green to a rusty Spring. It is a soft, heavy cloth at 836 g per metre, but it is rated below 20,000 rubs, so use it for cushions, headboards, occasional chairs and curtains rather than the sofa everyone sits on. As a coordinate it is hard to better: it sits comfortably beside every check and stripe in the collection.
