Eglantines reproduces a Louis XV lampas as a Toile de Tours — the floral decoration and ribbon effects of that period intact, but woven in a lighter and more usable construction than the original silk. The result keeps the charm of the source without its formality. The ribbons give the pattern its movement; the flowers keep it from being purely ornamental.
