Etretat takes a Scottish tartan and reinterprets it as a high-performance in-outdoor chenille — an unlikely combination that works because chenille softens the grid just enough. It is woven in Pierre Frey's EPV-certified workshops in the north of France, where the house specialises in textiles that are light-resistant, water-repellent, washable and mould-resistant. The hand is soft, which makes it a seating cloth. It coordinates with Comporta, the plain in-outdoor chenille.
