Flanerie is a graphic, contemporary embroidery worked across a wide linen sheer — a powdery, cloud-like invitation to a surrealist dream, as the studio has it. The stitching floats against the transparency so the motifs seem suspended in mid-air rather than fixed to cloth. Hung at a window it filters the light through drawing, and the room borrows a little of the dream.
