Fleurs d'Orient takes its orientalising motif from a print dating from the late nineteenth century, preserved in the Pierre Frey heritage collection. It is entirely hand-knotted in the traditional way in Nepal, with a wool pile that gives the drawing both softness and gravity. An archive document granted a second life underfoot, by hands that still work as the first ones did.
