Float is hand-knotted in Nepal, a composition in which cut-out shapes worked in silk are set against a wool ground — a translation into textile of the saturated forms so dear to Liz Roache's work. The handcraft is the point: knot by knot, the subtleties of those torn-paper edges survive the journey from artwork to floor.
