Freddo is a chenille velvet, and it is soft in both senses — soft to look at, the pile diffusing light rather than reflecting it, and soft under the hand. That combination is what makes it a seating cloth first: it takes the shape of a chair kindly, and it does not shine where it is sat on. A plain that behaves like a texture.
