Frida is Isabelle de Borchgrave's tribute to the world of Frida Kahlo, inspired by her exhibition at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels. The design recalls the belts and textile trims of Kahlo's wardrobe — weaves, embroidery, floral motifs — assembled by the Pierre Frey studio into a set of stripes embroidered with particularly artisanal, textured stitches. An homage to courage and creative freedom, worked in thread.
