Frida is Isabelle de Borchgrave's tribute to Frida Kahlo, born of her exhibition at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels and recalling the belts and woven trims of Kahlo's wardrobe. Here the design becomes a wallcovering through 3D digital printing, which raises the embroidered stripes into relief and sets a striking play of light across the wall — heritage handcraft given a thoroughly contemporary surface.
