Galla reproduces a wallpaper from the first half of the twentieth century, kept in the Pierre Frey archives: a cheerful design of apples on a trellis, printed in wide width. The orchard-on-a-frame motif has the directness of its period — fruit, lattice, and no further argument. It papers a wall with good humour and a certain kitchen-garden optimism.
