Gregorio is a ciselé velvet worked into a checkerboard, in a very refined patchwork spirit. The chequer is drawn not with printed pattern but with pile itself — cut against uncut, surface against depth — so the squares register under the hand as clearly as to the eye. It is geometry rendered in nap: quiet, tactile and precise.
