Halte de Chasse is a print built on a single repeated scene, set out in staggered rows, conjuring the world of the hunt. It reproduces a Norman print from the close of the eighteenth century, a period when hunting drawings were held in particular esteem. The pleasure of the cloth lies in that repetition: from a distance it reads almost as a texture, while up close each vignette rewards a second look. A document pattern handled with a light touch.
