Hasting is a large contemporary stripe intended for a cosy, chic atmosphere. The scale is the point: a broad stripe organises a room rather than decorates it, giving a wall of curtain or a deep sofa a settled architecture. Being contemporary in its drawing rather than traditional, it sits as easily with modern furniture as with older pieces, and it does its work quietly, through rhythm and proportion, nothing more insistent than that.
