Heather is a linen print reproducing an abstract painting by the artist Heather Chontos, whose shapes are interpretations of her surroundings: details of everyday life, landscapes under a changing light, the emotions they provoke. Chontos sets aside brushes for old credit cards and scraps of plastic, tools that give her mark-making its freedom and edge. With this fabric Pierre Frey continues its exploration of contemporary art, and the cloth keeps the directness of the original painting rather than tidying it.
