Ikati draws its character from a treasured kaftan housed within the Maison's archives, its distinctive stripe pattern carefully translated into jacquard weave. This fabric embodies Pierre Frey's reverence for traditional textiles as custodians of cultural heritage and artisanal skill. Woven at the studio's EPV workshops in northern France, Ikati represents a thoughtful dialogue between historical reference and contemporary craftsmanship, honouring the textile traditions that inform the house's design philosophy.
