Inga is a textile wallcovering with a flamed, irregular aspect, composed mainly of linen laminated onto a non-woven backing. The irregularity is the point: the slubs and variations of the linen give the wall a living surface that flat paper cannot, closer to cloth stretched than paper hung. It is a background material in the best sense, bringing warmth and texture to a room while leaving the foreground to furniture, pictures and light.
