Iris carries the drawings of the actress Louise Bourgoin, whose pen-and-ink work so struck Patrick Frey that he offered to feature it in a collection for Maison Pierre Frey. The fluid, unapologetic lines of her pen are developed here in hand-tuft, with a cut pile of New Zealand wool. It is an original and exclusive composition, and the pleasure of it is the directness: a sketchbook confidence, carried at full scale onto the floor.
