Ixelles works lines against squares in a small repeat, geometry pared back far enough that it functions as a texture rather than a pattern. It is a Toile de Tours, woven rather than printed, which gives the drawing a slight softness at the edges. The scale is the point: at this size it upholsters a small chair without the design being awkwardly cut, and it sits quietly beside more assertive fabrics.
