Jeanne is a raw silk taffeta. Raw silk keeps the slubs and small irregularities that refining removes, so the cloth has a dry, faintly uneven surface and a crispness quite different from the liquid sheen of a finished taffeta. The shades stay natural. It is a curtain fabric above all, holding a fold sharply and taking light along the slub.
