Pierre Frey | Kinsale

Kinsale is a studio favourite at Pierre Frey: a heavy slub weave in which thick, multicoloured yarns are scattered through a linen-rich ground, so every metre is slightly different. Natural keeps the effect subtle; Fushia and Turquoise make the flecks the point. It weighs nearly a kilo per metre and has a lively, dry handle from the linen, but it is rated below 20,000 rubs, so we would use it for cushions, headboards, ottomans and occasional chairs rather than main seating. A single length on a footstool or bolster is often enough to bring a quiet scheme to life.
