Pierre Frey | Kokonati – Opale

Kokonati is an embroidery of fluid curves in a double undulation, worked in space-dyed threads whose character changes along the length of the yarn. The two movements reinforce one another: the pattern rolls across the cloth while the thread itself shifts as it travels, so no passage of the embroidery repeats exactly. It is a lively, handworked surface with an easy rhythm, decoration that moves the way water or grasses move.
