La Dame de Fer is a nod to the Iron Lady of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. The design was commissioned from Monica Bastide by Pierre Frey in 1958 to be printed as a decorative textile panel, and it offers a naive, affectionate vision of the capital through its composition. It is printed on an embossed vinyl with a cloth effect, laminated to a non-woven backing, a period document of Parisian charm restored to the wall.
