Labyrinthe Boucle is an abstract pattern hand-tufted in New Zealand wool, worked in two heights of loop pile. The pattern is delivered entirely by relief: no contrast of material, simply the maze read in shadow as one loop height steps up from the other. The result is subtly graphic and very modern, a rug that gives a floor structure and interest while remaining, at first glance, almost a plain.
