Large French Damask Chenille is a magnificent wide damask of seventeenth-century French inspiration in cotton and silk, an invitation to the court of Louis XIV. Hand screen printed for the Thorp of London print collection, it is revisited here as a jacquard, in a chenille that gives the grand pattern a deep, soft surface. The scale is palatial and unapologetic: this is a cloth for high rooms, long curtains and serious sofas.
