Le Jardin du Palais is a morning evocation of the garden of paradise so dear to the sixteenth-century Safavid dynasty. Printed on cotton poplin, it presents a lush Persian landscape where gazelles, tigers, squirrels, flamingos and herons coexist peacefully within an ideal flora. The poplin keeps the scene crisp and light, as befits the hour, and the design is also at the origin of a table service developed with the Faiencerie de Gien.
