Pierre Frey | Le Rocher - Broderie – Multicolore

Le Rocher Broderie reinterprets a classic Braquenie print as an embroidery. The motif, a prime example of the eighteenth-century Indian tree of life, is treated as an all-over for a breathtaking decorative effect, the stitching giving relief and texture to a design long known in flat print. It is a document twice translated, from India to Braquenie, from print to needle, and it gains presence at each step.
