Les Blasons Tuft Main adapts the famous toile de Tours to the floor, playing with the ornamental vocabulary of heraldry. Crests, devices and emblems, the grammar of the blazon, are recomposed as a rug, and hand-tufting gives the ornament its depth. Heraldry has always been decoration with a spine, symmetry, hierarchy, clear drawing, and those virtues translate naturally underfoot: a floor with formality and wit in equal measure.
