The scale pattern, which turns up both in the mounds of eighteenth-century Indian palempores and in traditional Japanese art — one of Maison Le Manach's iconic designs. It has been reworked as a high-performance outdoor weave by Pierre Frey's EPV-certified workshops in northern France, known across Europe for stain-resistant and lightfast textiles.
