Les Graminees is based on botanical plates, a delicate watercolour drawing that poetically depicts a backdrop of grasses in the heat of summer. Printed in large width, it treats the wall as a meadow seen at close range, stems rising the full height of the room with the looseness of the watercolourist's hand intact. The design also exists as a fabric and as an embroidery, for schemes that want the meadow to travel.
