Pierre Frey | Les Lilas Lin – Blanc

Les Lilas Lin is a beautiful Jouy pattern of lilac branches in bloom, traditionally hand screen printed in France on a cotton and linen canvas. Since 2008 it has adorned one of the rooms in the Petit Trianon to which Queen Marie-Antoinette liked to retire. The original document, block printed around 1773, is kept in the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Few fabrics carry credentials of this order so lightly.
