Pierre Frey | Les Nœuds Canevas

Les Noeuds Canevas is inspired by the chain-stitch embroideries of the second half of the eighteenth century, a floral sowing pattern with all the charm of the creations of that era. The sown arrangement scatters its flowers evenly and modestly across the cloth, in the manner of the period's dress cottons, and the canvas treatment gives it a pleasing honesty of surface. It is a small pattern with good manners and a long memory.
