L'Odissi is inspired by a nineteenth-century chine print whose original document is preserved in the archives of la Maison Pierre Frey. It is printed on the Shiva silk wallpaper ground, and the pairing is what distinguishes it: the softly blurred edges characteristic of the technique sit on a naturally lustrous silk surface, so the whole wall shifts gently with the light. An archive pattern presented with the materials it deserves.
