Pierre Frey | Louisette

Louisette is a floral sowing in the spirit of the eighteenth century, conceived to recreate the country atmosphere of the Petit Trianon. The sown pattern scatters its small flowers evenly across the cloth in the manner of the period's cottons, modest, cheerful and unforced. It is the domestic register of the French decorative tradition, the queen's farm rather than the state apartments, and it brings that ease to bedrooms and small chairs particularly well.
