Lucille is a surrealistic interpretation of the eighteenth-century Indian tree, with large foliage, fruits and exotic flowers, printed on a cotton satin with a sublime drape. The surrealism is affectionate rather than disruptive: the document grammar is intact, but scale and juxtaposition have been loosened until the tree belongs to a dream. The satin ground gives the fantasy weight and fall at the window. Also available as a wallpaper.
