Lutetia interprets a small geometric pattern from a 1920s textile sample kept in the Heritage department of Maison Pierre Frey, a reminder of the metal that tops New York skyscrapers. Worked in Axminster weaving, it becomes a modern, graphic carpet made for heavy traffic, the Jazz Age motif set to work in corridors and busy rooms. It is a period document with a structural temperament, Deco geometry built to be walked on.
