Lydia is finely flecked, delicately curled and tenderly soft, its texture reinterpreting the surface of birch bark in precious fibres. It is woven in France in the Pierre Frey workshops, which carry EPV certification for living heritage craftsmanship. The bark reference is exact rather than fanciful: the surface carries the same fine interruptions and papery softness, translated into cloth. A textured plain with a specific idea behind it, which is rarer than it sounds.
