Malindi is a long-haired, reversible jacquard blending wool, mohair and alpaca, its check pattern built as much from the behaviour of the fibres as from the drawing. Each material takes the weave differently, so the check emerges through changes of texture and lustre rather than hard lines. Being reversible, it is as considered on its second face as its first — a cloth for throws, upholstery and anywhere its hand can actually be felt.
