Mirage sits deliberately between pattern and texture, evoking the weaving of Egyptian linen baskets or papyrus. It is printed on a metallised raffia ground laminated onto non-woven, so beneath the drawn weave there is a real one, with a faint mineral gleam. The doubling is what makes it: basketry described on basketry's own material, and a wall surface that reads as craft rather than graphics.
