Mirande is an embroidery on linen of ribbons delicately intertwined with flowers — a reinterpretation of a canvas block-printed around 1789 by the Woolmer Collins factory in England, whose original is preserved in the Maison archives. What was once printed is here restitched, and the change of technique flatters the design: the ribbons gain real relief, the flowers real delicacy. An eighteenth-century document, returned to needle and thread.
