Moire is a beautiful hand-tufted interpretation of a moiré effect, worked in silk cut pile against loops of New Zealand wool. The watered pattern emerges from the meeting of the two textures: where the silk is cut it gleams, where the wool loops it stays matt, and the ripple moves between them as the light changes. A dress-silk illusion, rebuilt in materials meant for the floor.
