Monica sets a remarkable alpaca weave on a finely flamed linen backing: a rustic-looking cloth presented in precious fibres. The contradiction is deliberate and delightful — the weave structure of a homespun, executed in materials of real luxury — and the fluffy hand reinforces its authentic character. It is woven in France in the Pierre Frey workshops, which hold the EPV label, and it flatters both country rooms and city ones playing at the country.
