Nea is a jacquard woven with irregular threads whose pattern evokes the veins and bark of wood, laminated onto a non-woven backing for the wall. The evocation is structural rather than pictorial: the uneven yarns themselves make the grain, so the wall reads as a natural material rather than a print of one. It brings the warmth of timber to a room by suggestion — texture doing the work of imagery.
