Niamh takes a drawing inspired by the arts of basketry and hand screen prints it on a pearlescent textile laminated onto a non-woven backing — the same cloth as the fabric Aziz. The weave of the drawn baskets sits on a ground with a soft, shifting lustre, so the pattern seems lit from within as the day moves. Craft depicted by craft: the screen pulled by hand, the subject woven by it.
