Nikki starts with a sisal ground, laminated onto a non-woven backing, and adds a semi-plain pattern printed in matt inks with a raised, three-dimensional finish. The print sits proud of the fibre, so you get two textures at once: the rough weave of the sisal and the smoother relief of the ink. It is 87 cm wide, so plan for more joins than a standard textile wallcovering, and it pastes to the wall and is strippable. As a natural fibre, sisal varies from drop to drop, which is part of its raw character.
