Orangeraie is inspired by an orchard of oranges and lemons: a magnificent Nepalese hand-knotted rug in which greenery rendered in Himalayan wool pile carries fruit worked in silk velvet, so the oranges and lemons seem to dance above the ground. The change of material is the delight — matt foliage, gleaming fruit — and the whole composition is cheerful and harmonious in the way only a productive garden is.
